Information about events 90 years ago - the Revolution and its tragic consequence - the Civil War, is claimed today. Evidence for this - the success of films "Dr. Zhivago," "Fall of the Empire," "Nestor Makhno", "Admiral", "Kotovsky"; resonant performance of "White Guard" in Moscow Art Theatre, numerous articles and books. It is no exaggeration to state that these are the most important events in recent Russian history which determined the development of society and left a deep imprint on public consciousness and subconsciousness. Their expression and formation is the function of creative workers in the social organism.


   The transformation in evaluation of the revolution and civil war that took place recently is of great interest nowadays. We have chosen the easiest way. Unscrupulous and short-sighted white officers (necessarily cowards and drinkers), were changed by illiterate sadistic commissioners (in another option - refined sadistic commissioners), driving around in comfortable cars, eating caviar by spoons, and permanently thrusting someone to the wall. Honest and frank investigation, serious and deep analysis were replaced by an elementary substitution of minus to plus. All is clear: the commissioners now are bad, and the white are good. In any case, the statement that there are the right and the wrong, the winners and the losers in the Civil War is a system error.


   Yes, the Revolution and the Civil War, as an extreme forms of social mutual animosity are long over. But is mutual dislike over? Report of the first face of the country for the anniversary of twenty years ago was called "The October Revolution and perestroika. The Revolution continues.    This requires a moral evaluation of the Civil War, as the fratricidal, as the confrontation of Cain and Abel, in which a winner cannot exist. "The Generals Against the Generals," revealing little-known stories gives food for thoughts on an important topic for all of us. You must restore taboo on mutual destruction in public consciousness, the existing stereotype of perseption of the Civil War as a rock. But the drop strokes fell great oaks.
