There are people whose whole life is so clearly aimed at fulfilling a task that itself comes to mind about their mission, purpose.

The name of Mikhail Lozinsky nowadays is little known to the general public. However, the very essence of the profession requires a certain anonymity, "transparency". But Lozinskii is an exceptional phenomenon in literature of the 20th century.

Gumilev believed that Lozinski is "the translator above Zhukovsky." Anna Akhmatova devoted Lozinsky six of her poems, and called him "an incomparable poet-translator." Although initially Lozinski hadn't been dreaming about career of a translater.
