It was until four enthusiasts under the direction of Georgy Ushakov set off for an expedition in 1930. They spent two years amidst the ice and the rocks, trying to survive and to collect the priceless information.

"100 Skins of Living Bears" took part in "Human and Environment"-2011

"100 Skins of Living Bears" (dir. by V. Marin) took part in the 10th Baikal International Festival of Documentary, Popular Science and Educational Films "Human and Environment". The film won a special prize of Russian Geographical Society of Irkutsk region.

There became known to the best popularizers of science in 2011

Vladimir Marin was awarded the II prize in the category "Surprises are Over There" for his work "Angel on the Mast," and the I prize in nomination "Sketches about Scientists" for his documentary "100 Skins of Living Bears". Congratulations!
