Our contemporary – an ordinary Moscow pensioner has the appointment with the deputy, but quite suddenly finds himself as a guest of the French thinker Henri de Saint-Simon.

Their meeting is the meeting of different epochs and cultures, and their talk is full of contradictions, but they agree on one thing: there is no present without past as well as without future it becomes senseless.
