The film is about Georg Ots, one of the most famous and beloved signers in Estonia and the whole Soviet Union, his complicated fate that was developed in rough and rapidly changing times. Ots remained an unknown singer for international opera stages – it was a feature of the time, the Soviet system did not “squander” talents.

When many modern music lovers hear his velvet baritone, they are confident it’s an unknown record of Dmitry Khvorostovsky.
It’s a very personal story about creative work, love and intrigues, told on behalf of Asta Saar, the artist’s second wife.
