Member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia

Born in 1960 in Turkmenia, Chardzhou Region, Chalach District, village of Esenmengli.

In 1979 graduated from the Rustaveli Turkmen State Art School in Ashhabad, Painting Department.

In 1991, graduated from Lenin Moscow State Pedagogic University, Artistic Graphics Department. After the graduation from the university he did easel painting, exhibited in Russia and Turkmenia. Agamurad Amanov’s paintings are kept in galleries and private collections of France, Germany, US and Russia.

1982-1986, worked as a layout artist.

From 1991, he took up animated cartoon making as a script writer and art director.

In 1993-1995, studied at the Higher Courses of Scriptwriters and Directors, film direction department (E.Nazarov’s and Y.Norstein’s studio).
