Member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia

Born on August 31, 1956, in Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine).

In 1978, graduated from the Simferopol State University (physics department).

In 1986, graduated from the State Institute of Dramatic Arts (specialty: stage director, A.Efros’ and A.Vasilyev’s studio).

From 1986, has been working as a production director. Participated in the creation of scripts for all of his films. Wrote scripts in cooperation with A.Vishnevsky, A.Artemyev, S.Valyaev, A.Khvan, and N.Victorov.
