Was born on December 1st, 1954 in Moscow.

In 1976 he graduated from the faculty of “International Relations” at the Moscow State Institute of Interantional Relations of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of USSR. He is specialized in the countries of South-East Asia.

In 2000 he graduated from VGIK (the Scriptwriter Master Class of V.Chernih, L.Kojinova and U.Rogozin).

From January 2000 to January 2005 he worked as the chief editor of the “CentrNauchFilm” Film Studio (now “Center of National Film”). He is a member of the board of experts of nonfiction films of Ministry of Culture.
