Little characters of a great cartoon

Have you ever thought what happens under your feet? Right, very near. In a drop of water, in folds of your clothes? Anyway, the creators of the Micropolis series took thought about that. And they found out that in a usual kitchen there is a world invisible for people but it has a great city with sky-scrapers, schools and parks called MICROPOLIS.

It’s inhabited by little microbes. They are nice and offenseless, they go to school, talk to friends, run along the streets. So they don’t differ from me and you, except for their size.
Microbes only have one enemy such as toxin. Those harmful toxins! They live in the city sewage system and seriously impact the life of peaceful microbes.

It’s the Centre of National Film that has made us familiar with the cartoon series. The project’s authors and directors Vadim Sotskov and Alexander Khramtsov have dreamt of inventing such an unusual world for a long time. It seems that cartoons have told about everything already – about bogies and forest spirits, crocodiles and aliens, bugs and dough-boys. There was only no cartoon about the inhabitants of the micro world, the smallest and mostly unnoticed by humans.

The story starts with Micron, a Micropolis inhabitant, deciding to eat a cherry on a cake. His younger sister Kroshka Mi and infusoria Bzik. As they are on their way, they meet a malicious toxin named Toxonchik. He kidnaps Kroshka Mi to make her look like him. Her friends rush to help her.
Frightening? Don’t be afraid. Nothing frightening will happen in the cartoon. Interesting? And how! Then – welcome to your TV screen, and we’ll watch the characters honorably go through all the challenges and return home. Because the good defeats the evil anyway. Even if the good is so small.
